July 12th, – OFBA granted affiliation with International Fire Buff Associates at the 1974 IFBA Convention in Boston, Massachusetts.
September 24th, – Fall Meet held in Trenton, Be11eville, Thurlow Township and the C.F.B. in Trenton.
November 30th, – Annual Meeting held in Toronto and York.
A constitution was drafted this year.

July 12th to 15th,, – OFBA hosts the 1978 International Fire Buff Associates Convention in Toronto. Program includes Toronto Fire Department display, and evolutions at the Training Academy, and a bus tour to Niagara Falls
September 23rd, – Fall Meet held at the Toronto International Airport and the Mississauga Fire Department.
November, – Annual Meeting held in Etobicoke, Toronto Fire Department, and East York Community Centre.
This year the club purchased a retired 1939 Bickle – Seagrave Custom 65’ Service Aerial from the City of Woodstock (Ontario) Fire Department.
