3/3/2019 Mike Wilson from Box 690 sent these pics of a wood shop fire at 2915 Hackbart Road in Wellesley Township. All three Wellesley stations on scene. Crews found some fire in the roof, had to remove part of the roof to get to all the hot spots.

2/26/19 – Gary Dinkel sent this photo of a fire at 7098 Side Road 5 for a wood shop fire. The address is in Wellington county, just on the border with Waterloo County. Woolwich covers the area first call. Floradale station responded , along with Elmira, a tanker from St Jacobs, as well as full response from Center Wellington Elora station.

02/22/2019 – Poor Gary Dinkel made a hard decision to get pictures and leave a “Rangers” game to attend this fire at 426 Dolph St N in Preston.  Cambridge rotated all six stations and brought in overtime crews. Gary as Box 690 left lots of supplies for the crews and the fire was declared out at 8:25 the next morning. Click here for news article

Gary Dinkel attended a fire at 155 Kinzie Ave, in Kitchener. Fire had actually burned itself out by the time crews got there. Police are investigating for arson. Click here for story

February 15th, Gary Dinkel sent us shots of a fire at 603 Mill Park Drive in Kitchener. There was a lot of   furniture and stuff throughout the large house and crews had to be pulled from the structure to fight the fire. Click for News Link

January 24th, Gary Dinkel sent us these pictures of a fire at 201  Woolwich Street in an attached building, where Breslau, Conestogo, and Maryhill responded. Quick knockdown, no extension into garage or main building.

Gary Dinkel sent us these pictures of a garage fire at 1082 Wilson Avenue in Kitchener on January 22nd, 2019.  P4 P6 A1 R1 Tank 1 and Car 23 were originally dispatched and P7 responded with a tanker with a split crew as the closest hydrant would have required a pumper relay. Damage set at $100,000. Trailer 20 feet from garage had some siding melted on it. Lost an antique trailer in the garage.

The Ontario Fire Buff Associates is a Toronto, Ontario, Canada based group of fire service enthusiasts “Buffs” who’s present membership comes from across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.
