Kingsville
operates from two stations, one in Kingsville itself and the other in
the community of Cottam. The hall there has three pumpers and a
rescue. The newest pump is Engine 123, a 2001 Freightliner FL80 /
Fort Garry with 1050 IGPM pump, 1000 gallon tank and 20 gallon
foam cell. This is one of three Fort Garry-built trucks used by
the town.

Kingsville
still owns one of its original trucks, a 1928 Bickle on a Gotfredson
chassis.

There
are several rigs in the Kingsville station. One is this 1991
Grumman Aerialcat 102' platform, ex-Forest Park, Ohio. It
also carries a 1750 IGPM pump and 125 gallon booster tank.

Our
next stop was Harrow, station 3 of the Essex Fire Department.
Engine 3A is a 1990 Ford F800 with Phoenix bodywork. Phoenix sold
a number of trucks in Essex County during their brief history.
Essex was formed via amalgamation and E3A is still lettered for the
Harrow-Colchester South Fire Department.

Essex
station 2 is in Gesto. Tanker 2 is a 2000 GMC C8500 with S&S
bodywork. This truck carries 1500 gallons of water and has a 500
IGPM pump.

Station
1 is in Essex proper. Truck 1 is a 1981 IHC CO1950B / Thibault
840/300/100' quint.

Essex
Engine 1 is another Phoenix, a 1991 Spartan Diamond 1050/1000 pumper.

Our
next stop was Lasalle, immediately south of Windsor. Lasalle's
composite department runs a pumper, pump/tanker, aerial and rescue from
one station. Tower 202 is a 2003 KME Aerialcat with a 95'
platform.

Lasalle Engine 206 is
a 1995 HME / Ferrara Intruder 1050/850/30F pump. This was one of
the first Ferrara trucks sold in Canada.

Our
next stop was the Town of Tecumseh, just east of Windsor.
Hall 2 in Oldcastle runs the Town's newest rig, a 2006 Spartan /
Rosenbauer 1050/840/2x50F rescue pumper.

Station
1 in Tecumseh proper runs a light rescue, pumper and quint. Truck
1 is a 2002 Sutphen 1250/400/50F/70' mini-tower. There are
several Sutphen aerials in Essex County, including four in Windsor and
another in adjoining Lakeshore.
