CAMBRIDGE & AREA PHOTO TOUR - 12 MAY 2007

The weather was mixed for our first tour of 2007.  The morning sun gave way to cloud until the latter part of the afternoon when it returned in full force.  We visited a number of different departments - Cambridge, North Dumfries Township in Ayr, Puslinch Township in Aberfoyle and individual fire halls in Guelph and Kitchener.

Special thanks to Gary Dinkel for arranging our visit and to
the firefighters and administration of the departments involved.

Cambridge Aerial 1 is this 2005 Spartan / Rosenbauer 1750/375 pumper with a 60' RK boom.

Pump 2 is one of two 1990 Spartan / E-One 1250/250 pumpers with the department.

Rescue 1 is a 2002 American Lafrance Eagle.

Pump 5 runs with this 2001 Spartan Gladiator with General bodywork.

North Dumfries Township runs this 1996 International S2674 / NOVAQuintech 1050/500/55' as Aerial 7 from its station in Ayr.  This truck is an ex-Owen Sound unit.

We also photographed a few  of Kitchener's newer rigs.  Pump 6 is a 2005 ALF Eagle with 75' LTI aerial.

Puslinch Township is located south of Guelph.  Pump 31 is a 2004 Freightliner M2 with ALF / Hub bodywork.

Aerial 33 is a 1991 International 4900 with Superior bodywork.  This truck has a 1050 IGPM pump, 500 Imperial gallon tank and 55' telesqurt.

In Guelph, Pump 1 operates one of two 1994 Duplex / Saulsbury 1050/500 units on the department.

The newest truck on the Guelph job is this 2005 Spartan Gladiator / Rosenbauer 1050/300/30F pumper.  It operates from #5 station, the newest in the city.

Pump 7 is a reserve unit.  This 1987 Mack  MR686P / Hub is one of a small number of yellow trucks still in service.
